Word from Higgy
Without my
community we have nothing ….. Higgy
Part of our vision when opening Higgy’s
was to be able to help our neighbors in
time of need . It’s a great feeling
knowing that you do your best for every
guest that come’s in the restaurant, but
there is no better feeling at the end of
the day, when you know you have gone
outside of your pizzeria and helped
someone in need … I have been blessed
with this opportunity to live my dream…
and we will continue our steward ship
through out our community. Higgy and

Just a few things we have done:
We were able to help feed families who
lost everything in Cotton Creek and
Virginia Meadows Subdivisions during
July of 2005 when terrible tornados came
through our community. We contacted
Kroger and asked for them to provide
drinks as we were providing sandwiches,
chips and pizza. My wife and daughters
hand delivered the food to the families
by walking door to door. We even
extended the offer for families who had
lost every thing to be our Guest at
Higgy’s until they where back on there
feet.
We were able to do a fund raiser on
Sunday, normally we're closed, and
raised $3000 for a teacher at Union
Grove who had lost his wife in a
terrible traffic accident.
We adopted a family at Christmas and
made sure every one had gifts under the
tree.
We had a family whose house burned down
a couple of weeks before Christmas. We
where able to raise $1050 with the help
of Pastor Ralph Easterwood of Glenhaven
Baptist Church.
We are partners in education with the
schools in our area and our goal is to
continue to hire and train kids from the
surrounding schools. We also have the
special needs kids in three time a week
giving them a opportunity to work hand
in hand with us.
We have joined hands with Roger and
Cherie Mullins, Hope for the world
Albania in raising money for their
mission .Our goal is to raise $15,000
this year which will help clothe ,feed
or even aid in build an orphanage in
Albania. If you would like to help us

We worked
with the Knights of Columbus on a fund
raiser for a young girl who is need of a
lung transplant and are still excepting
donations at this time for her.
So as you can see our goal is more than
just running a great pizzeria. We want
to make a difference in our community
and each day we strive to do just that
