A word from
Higgy....
First
and foremost if you are reading this
story, I want to thank you for
supporting my life long dream.
As I
begin to tell you about how Higgy's
Pizzeria came about, I would like to
thank my wife, Debbie, for the last 18
years. Not only for following me
from the east coast to the west coast
while I pursued my career, but for
giving me two beautiful daughters,
Kahlee and Maygan. They are my
lighthouse.
Higgy is
a nickname given to me by my father as a
young child. I know he is looking
down on me with great pride right now.
Opening
my own restaurant before I was 45 years
old, was a goal I set for myself as a
teen. You see, I have worked for
over 27 years in the restaurant
industry, for many large corporations
and was very successful.
My
family and I have lived in the McDonough
area for almost 6 years, and knew this
area was long overdue for a GOOD
pizzeria offering a great family
atmosphere. The key was having a great
product. Higgy's dough recipe is a
secret, not shared with anyone. It
is made fresh every morning in the
kitchen. Each pizza is hand
stretched prepared to order and baked in
one of our brick ovens. The end
product is one of the best pizza's you
will ever taste.
I would
like to take time to thank both the
Crimmins' and the Higdon's in Memphis,
TN. Also, to Rodney Liberty, my
rock, for sharing my dreams.
At
Higgy's we have employed over 40
students from Union Grove Middle and
High School. Our goal is to give
them a positive work experience that
will help them grow into successful
adults.
Thank
you for visiting our website and we hope
you see you soon!
